“I have only just begun to tell my story.
What you see is only a glimpse of what I will be.
I am a falling ray, waiting to bounce back.
When I do, I will be brilliant.”

The things I see...

I remember picking up my father’s digital camera for the first time, about 5 years ago, after we had just moved into a new house near the center of my home town.
I never really had any experience with camera’s before so I pretty much had to learn by trial and error.
Though this was the first time I had used a photocamera, I’ve had a thing for the sky and the sun long before; it was only natural for these to be my first and most loved subjects to photograph.
Having an amazing view over the daily sunset, I’ve hardly missed a day of watching and taking photographs of it for the following two years.

Because of my lack of knowledge and skill, I quickly came to see my limitations.
I don’t consider myself anything more than a hobby photographer, but I do wish to learn more about photography and get better. I just don’t need to be perfect at it.

While my works may not seem like anything special to some people, I myself always draw a lot of energy from my shots. I like to capture moments that inspire me, or remind me of past obstacles in life or having overcome such obstacles.
After taking a shot I tend to suddenly get words in my head which eventually form some kind of poem, line of wisdom or random description to a photo. I think it is the combination of capturing moments and thinking up those descriptions that make my works a little more special than usual.

The worlds I create...

I realize that the term 'digital art' is rather broad and thus covers a lot of forms. My own 'digital art expressions' however manifest in but a few forms.

A few years back I was introduced to something called 'space art'. Space art could be 3D renders or 'flat' drawings featuring planets, nebulae and other celestial phenomena. I'm still trying to find my way within this particular artform, but I've already created some images that I'm happy with for the moment.
In my case I use my own photographs of textures and clouds to produce space scenes. Sometimes I combine my pre-made planets with landscape photographs as well.

Another form my digital art expressions manifest in is digital illustration. I came up with a set of characters when I was just a little boy; these characters are still the subject of many of my expressions.
The characters are part of a story that has changed, grown and evolved over the course of the past plus eleven years. Today, I call this story 'Day of the Dragonstorm', on which I should have much to tell, but right now, I wouldn't know where to begin. The story would eventually become a written novel; I use my illustration to inspire me and give a face to my words.

For now, you can find various space scenes, character drawings and other illustrations in my digital art portfolio. A website dedicated to the afore mentioned 'Day of the Dragonstorm' is still under construction, but may be available one of these days.

creative writing

The stories I wish to tell...

I already mentioned briefly that I wish to write a novel based on the story I came up with over the past decade. I have no real writing background and set the bar high by writing in the english language, which is not my native tongue.
Writing the novel is going to be a time consuming progress, and so far I had to start over at least a couple of times.

I do have something to show for. I have writen a handful of short stories, inspired by God and my personal life experiences. "How can stories be inspired by God?", you might wonder. I don't really know how to explain it myself. There just have been moments when I had these ideas in my mind, that just seemingly came out of nowhere, and housed a great message to learn from.
I personaly believe that inspiration and those messages did come from God, and the stories that came from that have helped me a lot during the rough and roughest times of my life.

I don't write a lot anymore these days, but what I've got here is in my opinion a good read and I hope you'll enjoy reading my works too.
